03 / Levels

Four steps from a first class to advanced floor work

All classes are for adults aged 18 and over. You join at the step that matches your experience and move up when your instructor says you are ready. There is no audition at any step.

  1. Level 1

    Beginner

    You have never danced, or not for years. We count music out loud, set posture and cover the first six steps of each style at walking pace.

  2. Level 2

    Improver

    You know the basics and can hold a count. Short combinations are taught across two or three weeks, with partner switches in the partner styles.

  3. Level 3

    Intermediate

    Full-length choreography in a single session, faster tempos and styling detail. Expect direction changes and work on balance and musical phrasing.

  4. Level 4

    Advanced

    Performance-level sequences, improvisation tasks and ensemble timing. Groups stay small, so every dancer gets individual corrections each session.

04 / Capacity

Small groups, published caps

Every room has a fixed cap and a live count. When a meter turns clay, fewer than two places remain for that class.

Caps stay between six and twelve dancers, so each person gets a clear sightline of the mirror and at least one correction per pass. The number does not flex for walk-ins: if a group is full, you join the next intake with the same cap.

Booking and trial questions

Every class is for adults aged 18+. Groups are capped, so the answers below cover the trial policy, packs, and what happens when a class is full.

How does the first trial class work?

The trial is a single paid class at the trial rate shown in the pricing strip, and it counts as your placement session. Arrive 15 minutes early, tell the instructor your level, and join the warm-up. Nothing is charged after the trial unless you book a pack.

Do I need prior dance experience to join?

No. Level 1 Beginner assumes no previous training, and there is no audition at any level. If you have danced before, the instructor moves you up once the descriptors on the level ladder match what you can already do.

How many people are in a group?

Class caps are published on every timetable row, for example 6/10 or 8/12, where the first number is booked places and the second is the cap. When a row passes 80 percent full the capacity badge turns clay so you can see it before you commit.

What is the difference between the 4-class and 8-class packs?

Both packs are cheaper per class than paying single. The 4-class pack suits one class a week and expires 8 weeks after purchase. The 8-class pack covers twice-a-week training and expires 14 weeks after purchase. Expiry dates are printed on the receipt.

Can I reschedule a class I already booked?

Yes, up to 12 hours before the start time, using the same pack credit. Inside 12 hours the credit is used, because the place was held for you. Instructors can move you to another class at the same level if a cancellation caused the change.

What should I bring to the studio?

Comfortable clothing you can move in and a water bottle. Clean indoor trainers work for most styles; the styles index notes where a specific shoe is useful. Changing rooms are available at each studio.
